We're hiring:
Mid-Level QA Engineer
At Dancerace, we’re redefining invoice finance and asset-based lending software for banks and lenders. We build complex, business-critical SaaS products and quality matters. A lot.
We’re looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer to join our growing team and help make sure our software doesn’t just work but works brilliantly.
This is a hands-on QA role with a strong focus on automation. You’ll work closely with our developers, product managers and DevOps team, getting involved throughout the software lifecycle to help us continually improve the way we test and deliver our products.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of quality across new features and existing products, including:
- Building, maintaining and improving automated test coverage.
- Creating and executing manual and automated tests for new features and regression.
- Digging into bugs, understanding what’s really happening and working with developers to get them resolved.
- Testing API’s and working within modern CI/CD environments.
- Getting involved early, asking questions, challenging assumptions and bringing a QA mindset to requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Looking for smarter, simpler ways to improve our testing and QA processes.
- Sharing knowledge and supporting other members of the QA team.
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have around 3–5 years’ experience in software testing, covering both manual and automated QA.
There is one important non-negotiable:
You must have commercial test automation experience within a SaaS environment.
We’re deliberately open-minded about the tools you’ve used. Good QA engineering is about much more than knowing a particular framework. We’re interested in how you approach automation, what you’ve built and maintained, and how you use testing to improve the quality of a product.
You’ll also understand API testing, Agile software development and CI/CD, and be comfortable working closely with developers and product teams.
And you’ll be curious. Analytical. Someone who enjoys solving problems, asks good questions and isn’t afraid to challenge something when it doesn’t look quite right.
Fintech experience? Useful, but not essential. We can teach you about our industry.
Why dancerace?
We’re big on staying small. It means our teams can move quickly, share ideas and have a genuine influence on how we work and what we build.
You’ll join a collaborative technology team where your voice is heard, your work has an impact and there’s plenty of opportunity to keep developing.
You’ll also receive:
- Circa £55,000, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working, with the majority of your time able to be worked remotely and a modern office in Central Bath.
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service.
- Private healthcare and dental care.
- Workplace pension.
- Critical illness and life assurance cover.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Enjoy Benefits and access to Udemy.
- Regular office socials and ongoing professional development.
Our core team is based in Bath, and spending time together matters to us. We’re ideally looking for someone in Bath, Bristol or the wider UK Southwest who can join the team in person when needed.
