News: Elliot Avison named ‘One to Watch’ in LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders 2024 awards series
Dancerace CEO Elliot Avison has been recognised as ‘one to watch’ in the 2024 Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders awards series.
Hosted by LDC – part of Lloyds Business Group – in collaboration with The Times newspaper, the Top 50 programme puts the spotlight on the founders, CEOs and managing directors of the UK’s fastest growing businesses.
Judges looked for entrepreneurs reshaping the way business is done is today’s rapidly changing world, and those making great strides to grow their businesses. “[Members of the Top 50] excel in their industries, make a positive impact on their customers and employees, and stand out for their potential to achieve even greater success in the future,” said the judges.
Elliot was one of more than 700 nominees for the award, which was presented at the LDC Top 50 event at Bafta in London on Wednesday 9 October. The accolade comes weeks after Dancerace was recognised as a ‘world-class’ employer by Best Companies, the workplace engagement specialists.
Joining Dancerace in 2011 as a software support engineer, Elliot worked in a range of roles across the company before taking the reins in 2019. Since then, Dancerace has grown rapidly, securing major multinational clients, tripling its headcount in the UK and Australia and winning industry recognition and awards for its vision for the future of commercial lending. In August 2024, Dancerace was acquired by US-based Norland Capital.
“I’m humbled to have been recognised as a ‘one to watch’ by LDC, and grateful to so many people for having me opportunities to try new things and to build something special,” said Elliot. “Most of all, I’m thankful for my brilliant, loyal team. This award is for all of us!”
